Covid-19 and Brexit Update

Covid-19 (Coronavirus) Statement

At Typhoo we take pride in ensuring the highest standards for our employee and customer safety. Since the original lockdown in March 2020, we have worked to continuously evaluate and improve our workflow and procedures, using the Government and Public Health guidelines as a basis.

Our factory has undergone significant changes including robust social distancing, further handwashing and sanitisation facilities and one-way systems to ensure staff can maintain more than 2m separation. This is over and above the already significant PPE and Food Hygiene procedures we already had in place.

Based on the Wirral in Merseyside, our Factory and staff have benefitted from being in the UK pilot schemes for the rollout of rapid weekly testing for all on-site staff. We have access to regular symptomatic and asymptomatic testing in our area, and any staff member can access both of these NHS-provided services.

Staff must isolate and not attend site if they have any Covid-related symptoms or are told to isolate as part of the government and NHS' central response. Our facilities have been audited and given "Covid-Safe" approval by the local public health authority, and we are setup with QR code check-in for essential site visitors using the NHS Test and Trace mobile phone application.

Brexit – Export Information

We have reviewed our pricing on shipments to Europe via Parcelforce, and updated these accordingly. In-line with our Shipping Policy and Terms of Service, we continue to ship with a Delivery Duty Unpaid (DDU) service, so any import taxes or tariff charges and customs clearance fees are paid by the recipient.
